Luke & Chrissy are college sweethearts. They were introduced through mutual friends and funny enough, Luke asked Chrissy to marry him the first time they met! It was truly love at first sight. They never officially began dating and ended up coming up with a fake anniversary date to celebrate each year!

Chrissy said the proposal was the most magical day of her life! For years, her and Luke had talked about visiting Zion National Park in Utah. It was a mutual dream of theirs, especially since they both love exploring the outdoors. They planned their trip (Chrissy's Valentine's Day present) for April 2014. On the first day there, they hiked the dangerous yet rewarding, Angel's Landing. After hours of hiking up extremely steep cliffs (they even had to hold on to chains at one point), they reached the top. They hung their feet over the edge and couldn't stop saying how happy they were. Then, Luke started digging around in his backpack and to Chrissy's surprise, he pulled out a gorgeous ring and asked her to marry him!

Being an artist, Chrissy had a vision for her wedding right from the start - something funky and unique. Sunflowers, with their size and vibrant color, have always been her very favorite flower. They became her focus and she had them everywhere! The couple also had black and white striped everything. The mint green bridesmaid dresses and accents were a soft touch on the classic colors and edgy stripe.

Chrissy and Luke's wedding day also marked another special, inspiring occasion - her grandmother and grandfather's 70th wedding anniversary! The couple loved having all of their friends and family dance the entire night and celebrate this incredibly special day with them. When asked if she had a favorite moment throughout the day, Chrissy said it was when they had just finished the ceremony and her and Luke walked out from the gazebo by themselves, holding hands, smiling at each other, and said, "We finally did it!" Chrissy said, "It was such a special and private moment, one I will never forget!"

A big congratulations to this special couple! Thanks for having us be a part of your love story. Photos are by the very talented Heather Hughes Photography
