Call it a prescription for love! Pharmacists Taylor Lansing and Tyler Goins were married on May 26, 2018 at the
Williamsburg Winery in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Taylor, from Chesapeake, VA and Tyler, from
Manassas, VA, met in August 2014, the day before Pharmacy School started at Virginia Commonwealth University. It all began at a social event and they quickly became inseparable, soon becoming study partners. Within a month, they started dating, after realizing their relationship was more than just a friendship. Sparks continued to fly and the couple dated throughout pharmacy school.
After their third year, they went on a weeklong family vacation to Charleston, South Carolina. While they were there, Tyler planned a special evening out just for the two of them, which included dinner in downtown Charleston, followed by a private horse drawn carriage ride. While on the carriage ride, they stopped at the Battery on the water. Photography is one of Taylor's hobbies, so they took some time to walk around and snap a few pictures. Next thing you know, Tyler asks a stranger to take their picture. While posing in front of the Pineapple Fountain, he got down on one knee and proposed, and she said. "Yes!" Taylor said, "It was a perfect evening and I still can't believe how lucky I am to have a husband who is so thoughtful and sweet. He makes life seem like a dream somedays, like out of the movies."
The couple chose a very special date, May 26th, the day before Taylor's parent's 30th wedding anniversary, and selected the Williamsburg Winery for their ceremony and reception. "I love a more natural look and wanted to highlight the natural beauty of the winery," said Taylor. "I also wanted a timeless and classic wedding that I would look back on and love for years." Inspired by classic and elegant touches, they chose white florals and greenery to brighten up the venue, with the accent color, navy blue. The couple also incorporated special details that reflected them and their friends and family throughout the celebration, including writing their own vows, Taylor carrying her great-grandmother's handkerchief, Virginia Tech socks for the groomsmen, who all attended VT, and even a dance to "Enter Sandman."
When asked about their favorite moment of the day (aside from their vows), it was their final dance at the end of evening. All the guests had left the room to line up for their exit and Taylor and Tyler shared one last dance together. She said, "It was the perfect moment for ourselves to
reflect on the day and take it all in one last time."
Congratulations, Taylor and Taylor! We loved being a part of your beautiful wedding and wish you a lifetime of happiness. Photos by the talented Ryan Winn Photography.
